In response to the American Heart Association (AHA) initiative to recognize October as CPR Awareness Month, the training team from the An-Najah National University CPR and Life Support Training Center, in collaboration with the Continuing Education Department at An-Najah National University Hospital, conducted a specialized training program for 150 administrative employees from various departments and units within the hospital.
The training was delivered by a distinguished group of certified instructors: Dr. Aida Alkaissi, Ms. Mahdia Al-Koni, Mr. Mohammad Dweikat, Mr. Ahmad Al-Aswad, Dr. Lubna Al-Saoudi, and Dr. Fatima Hirzallah.
The program covered essential life-saving skills, including:
- Hands-only CPR for adults.
- Proper activation of emergency services and communication with the Palestinian Red Crescent.
- Management of choking incidents in infants.
Participants expressed their appreciation for this initiative and their satisfaction with the valuable knowledge and hands-on skills they gained. They emphasized the importance of empowering administrative staff with basic life-saving skills to enhance emergency preparedness within the hospital. Participants also expressed interest in continuing such specialized training programs in the future.
