This program prepares professional Midwife who can work with a multidisciplinary health team in order to meet the client’s health needs and to upgrade the quality of health care in various health settings. To give professional Midwifery care in all stages of life midwives need to have a humanistic approach and practical clinical knowledge combined with a good theoretical background.

The general objectives of the program:
- Developing the midwifery profession in Palestine, improving it, and enhancing its efficiency.
- Improving comprehensive healthcare in Palestine through participation in enhancing the effectiveness of this profession before and after childbirth.
- Training young women in midwifery and empowering them to provide high-quality and efficient services.
- Achieving professional competence and foundational knowledge related to the theory and methodology of the profession, acquiring critical thinking open to changes, and participating in the preparation, development, and evaluation of the field of specialization to reach global standards of the profession.
The specific objectives of the program:
- Developing the main concepts of midwifery practice, understanding them, and working with professionalism and high capability.
- Analysis of developments in midwifery from a practice perspective.
- Conducting a theoretical analysis of the role of the midwife within the changing structure of healthcare in various locations.
- Providing the student with the necessary knowledge of the academic program and the fundamentals of the profession, to contribute to society with high-quality capabilities.
- Providing the atmosphere and opportunities for the student to be employed in all health institutions, as well as participating in teaching and administrative positions.
- Utilizing the theories of sciences, arts, and midwifery, and establishing a comprehensive and integrated program for childbirth care.
- Applying research results, critiquing them, and developing them to provide good healthcare, and starting the change towards betterment and improving midwifery practice.
- Utilizing healthcare theories and principles, organizing financial affairs, and managing human resources.
- Critical analysis and precise evaluation, and the assessment of health experiences including health and illness concerning individuals, families, and local communities.
- Using legal and ethical principles to guide decision-makers in practicing the profession.
- Using communication skills, interaction, facilitating relationships, and cooperation among individuals, their families, the healthcare team, and mutual trust.
- Establishing the ethical framework to guide midwives and enhance the role of leadership and continuous growth within the midwifery profession.

- Graduating a qualified midwife with high professional ethics capable of providing safe care for the mother, child, family, and community.
- Providing primary healthcare for women's health from adolescence to post-reproductive age.
- Women's health care during pregnancy, childbirth, and postpartum.
- Monitoring fetal growth during pregnancy and making appropriate decisions.
- Assessing the infant's condition to adapt to life outside the womb.
- Conducting a comprehensive assessment of newborns and providing guidelines related to infant care.
- Managing care centers and handling high-risk pregnancies.
- Providing appropriate emergency care when needed.
- The application of sound management, wise leadership, and comprehensive teaching to bring about safe change within healthcare.
- Practicing the profession with greater competence, safety, and effectiveness, to reduce the risk of early neonatal death.
- Meeting the needs of the local community by providing specialized, qualified, and high-quality legal midwives.
- Raising the mother's awareness and maturity, and providing proper healthcare for the child by preparing independent midwives who work efficiently in preventive and therapeutic care.
- Using artificial intelligence and harnessing it to raise health awareness.
- Admission is for female students only.
- The Tawjihi average is 75% or more, the scientific branch average is 80% or more, and the literary branch.
- The satisfactory result of the personal interview.
- Mastery of the English language.
- Applications for bridging programs in the scientific stream of the Tawjihi are accepted with a Tawjihi average, a diploma certificate, and a comprehensive exam average of 70% or more.
- Applications for the Tawjihi specialization in the literary branch are accepted with a Tawjihi average of 80% and a diploma certificate with a comprehensive exam average of 70% or higher.
- Successfully completing 146 credit hours, including university requirements, mandatory and elective college requirements as outlined in the study plan.
- The student must successfully complete the required courses within a minimum period of 4 years.
