The Faculty of Nursing at An-Najah National University announced the commencement of graduation project discussions for fourth-year students during a distinguished scientific day that reflected the high level of academic and research excellence achieved by the Faculty, and highlighted students’ ability to produce rigorous scientific research addressing national and community health priorities.
The day opened with a recitation from the Holy Qur’an, followed by the Palestinian National Anthem. An opening address was then delivered by Dr. Aidah Alkaissi, instructor of the Graduation Project course, who emphasized the pivotal role of scientific research in preparing nurses and researchers capable of advancing evidence-based nursing practice.
Dr. Alkaissi commended the students for their outstanding efforts and high-quality research output, praising their commitment, discipline, and advanced academic performance. She also welcomed students’ families, supervisors, and members of the academic and administrative staff, expressing her sincere appreciation for their essential role in supporting and guiding students academically and scientifically. She affirmed that this achievement is the result of integrated efforts among students, their families, supervisors, and the Faculty.
The scientific day featured the discussion of several high-quality research projects supervised by Dr. Aidah Alkaissi and Dr. Shorouq Qaddous, addressing priority nursing and health-related issues of national and community relevance. The projects included:

- Night-Time Sleep Experiences of Patients in Intensive Care Units and Coronary Care Units: A Phenomenological Study - Supervisor: Dr. Aidah Alkaissi
- The Effect of Nurse–Patient Communication Quality on Anxiety and Depression among Hemodialysis Patients in Nablus Hospitals: A Cross-Sectional Study - Supervisor: Dr. Shorouq Qaddous
- Assessment of Nurses’ Knowledge and Practices Regarding the Prevention of Surgical Site Infections in Nablus Hospitals - Supervisor: Dr. Shorouq Qaddous
At the conclusion of the first day of graduation project discussions, Dr. Alkaissi praised the students’ exemplary performance and the high standard of presentations and scientific discussions, which reflected their research maturity and ability to integrate theoretical knowledge with practical application. She wished them continued success in their academic and professional careers.
