As a part of its ongoing commitment to strengthening midwifery education and building academic capacity, faculty members from the Faculty of Nursing, An-Najah National University, participated in an advanced training workshop on the Minimum Initial Service Package (MISP) for Sexual and Reproductive Health in Crisis Situations, held on 1–2 July 2026 in collaboration with the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA).
The two-day training covered key topics including humanitarian crisis response, sexual and reproductive health in emergencies, implementation of the MISP, management of reproductive health services during emergencies, and prevention and response to gender-based violence. The workshop aimed to strengthen the knowledge and competencies of faculty members, enabling them to prepare future midwives to deliver evidence-based, high-quality care in both routine and humanitarian settings.
This training is part of the ongoing efforts of the project “Strengthening Midwifery Education: SRHR Integration in Midwifery Curriculum,” supported by the United Nations Population Fund (UNFPA), to enhance midwifery education and ensure graduates are equipped to respond effectively to evolving healthcare needs
